Apple
I am a software engineer at Apple in Cupertino, CA.
Clockwise
I worked at Clockwise in San Francisco, CA from 2021 - 2023.
Google
I worked at Google in Mountain View, CA from 2006 - 2021.
JPL
From July, 2001 until April, 2006, I worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, CA.

My JPL page has a list of publications, giving you an idea of some of the things I've worked on.

I have a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University (where I was doing Computer Music research with Roger Dannenberg) and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College.

Audacity
I was the original author of Audacity, a free, open-source, cross-platform audio editor. You can use it to record sounds, create mixes, add special effects, create MP3s, analyze spectrograms, and much more. For Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

I founded Audacity in 1999 and was the primary developer for many years. I've moved on, but a fantastic team of volunteers all around the world are continuing to develop it. That's the beauty of open source.

Music
I'm an amateur piano player and composer. You can listen to some of my music at two sites: minorninth.com has mostly my own compositions, plus some other duets, and sgsjazz.com has song clips from the San Gabriel Seven, a jazz ensemble I'm in.
